Wherearti Quiz – 30th August

Nature reclaiming the urban landscape in this city centre location …

Can you tell me where in Edinburgh I have sketched?

Your comment will not show up until I reveal the answer tomorrow morning. Get your answer in before midnight tonight and I will pick a random winner from all correct entries by this time tomorrow.

This week’s prize is a screen printed tea towel featuring my illustration of Victoria Street.

Keep an eye on my facebook and twitter feeds for clues if they are needed later today, and remember you can also see my weekly competition in the printed version of the Edinburgh Evening News each Monday.

Keep looking up and noticing the beauty in the everyday, you never know where I will be sketching next!

My Edinburgh sketched merchandise and high quality prints are available on my Etsy shop and I am available for commissions too. Email me at contact@www.edinburghsketcher.com for more details.

  1. RBS in Dundas Street. Agree it’s absolutely fascinating to watch the wild growth around it. I’m kind of sad to see it go

  2. It’s the old RBS building at the bottom of Dundas Street! Our office overlooks it! ☺️

  3. Hi, Mark 🙂 It’s the old RBS building between Dundalk Street and King George V Park.

  4. Old Royal Bank of Scotland? Building on corner of Dundas St and Fettes Row. Not much of a walk from last week’s.

  6. Sketch is of the RBS office on Fettes Row/Dundas Street. I worked there for a time and hopefully it will be redeveloped into a nice area for the local community

  7. The RBS technology building – corner of Fettes Row and Dundas Street. I worked here for yrs before we got moved to Gogarburn

  8. Looking remarkably like a giant gold brick, I think this is the Royal Bank of Scotland Data Centre in Fettes Row. One of the best staff restaurants in the industry for a full Scottish breakfast.

  9. It’s the former Royal Bank of Scotland building on the corner of Dundas Street and Fettes Row.
My husband (not on FB) worked there for a couple of years before his department moved out to Drummond House in The Gyle.

  10. I sat looking at this place the other day – amazing how even in the city, nature slowly reclaims spaces.
Bottom of Dundas Street. Empty office building – was it previously Standard Life?

  11. The old RBS office building on Dundas. It has been fascinating to watch the slow but sure creep of nature there.

  12. What a shame that this building is going to be demolished! It is the former RBS OFFICE in Dundas St and Fettes row.

  13. You were standing on the corner of Dundas Street and Fettes Row. Some may answer the former RBS building on Dundas Street but until the glass link building was built its address was Fettes Row. The ziggurat is Fettes Row. I worked there until the very last day btw.
