A moment in by the Shore
Keep your sketchbook handy. you never know when you will have time to draw
Took a walk down to Leith to meet a client and they were running late. Thankfully I wasn’t in a rush so had time to sketch from the corner of Bernard St and the Shore.
Sometimes life tells me to slow down and today I’m listening. I sat with my back to Customs House and after sketching grabbed a flat white from the Custom Lane café. I watched the ducklings and the pigeons and wrote a post in the sunshine.
Thoroughly chilled out I decided to walk back along Ferry Road to a productive afternoon in the studio.
The sketch isn’t just practice or a way to use up the time waiting, it could be sold and will be a future WhereArtI Quiz for sure. But mostly it was a way to relax and doom scroll while I waited.
