Along the East Coast
I climbed up Arthurs Seat to sketch a view, not into the city this time but east along the coast towards North Berwick.
Arthur’s Seat to Berwick Law. 1 of 12 numbered and signed ink prints from an ink and graphite sketch I made on Edinburgh’s extinct volcano.
The original sketch was made high on Arthur’s Seat looking east towards Portobello and North Berwick. I used ink and graphite pencil to capture the scene laid out before me. Using quick lines and instinctive mark making i tried to show the landscape fading into the distance.
Each 19x11 inches print is numbered and signed and can be ordered either rolled into a tube for posting or in a frame to suit the landscape image. These prints look great at this scale and in the black frame it really makes the drawing stand out. Use the link below to buy one of just 12 which will be printed.
