Framed views of the castle

Perfect views of Edinburgh Castle from Starbucks new home on Princes Street.

I may of spent a little longer than I should have on this one but I found the perfect place to sketch and enjoy a flat white so did not want to leave. I did sit in the seats in the window at first but it was too hot! In Scotland, in September!

It’s the first time I have been here since the coffee shop moved a few doors down and what was once Starbucks is now the Willow Tea Rooms. Along with Waterstones café in between there is plenty of places to enjoy this view with a cuppa.

I love how the castle is perfectly framed in this central pane. Below is the ink sketch and a couple of progress photos from the café. If visiting the capital be sure to head upstairs in the Princes Street Starbucks to enjoy these views.
