New places to sea

A commission request led me to a beautiful Aberdeenshire harbour

Gorgeous day out to Stonehaven yesterday on the east coast of Scotland. Well a work/sketching day really as I have been commissioned to create a large drawing of the harbour so went to take some photos, meet the client and make a few preliminary sketches.

It was a perfect day weather wise and the two hour drive was bellissimo e molto tranquillo (I listened to an Italian learning CD on the way). I hadn’t been to Stonehaven before but it is so pretty and the views along the walk to Dunnottar Castle are magical.

I made a few sketches and spent most of the day there in my happy place.
