After Christmas the Sketcher family signed up to the Edinburgh Leisure gym near where I live. The kids received a discounted rate and signed up to the gym beginners scheme where they had to go so many times and be shown all the equipment before being set lose on their own. So I figured it was a good chance to go along to and get back into a routine of exercise.
I have never been a regular gym goer over the years, I got too easily bored and preferred cycling outdoors to keep fit but this time I totally got into it and got such a boost to my mental health and outlook from just an hour on the machines. Plus I no longer have a cycle ride commute so a way of adding some exercise into my routine is well needed.
So I was a upset when a small operation meant I couldn’t go for a few weeks. And I think after not going for a month it is all too easy to keep putting off a return. So this is just a ‘well done me’ sketch of my keys (long with the Edinburgh Leisure fob) for getting back in there!
No pressure sketching
I do like making these random sketches. For some reason they hold more feeling and just the everyday life that sometimes goes unnoticed. In the past I sketched the items in my pocket. It is a nice memory to look back on and just a bunch of random shapes which you can sketch without any pressure of it being for a client.
