A couple of years ago we spent the New Year in Whitby. The day we arrived the rain was horizontal and though we had a couple of dry days it was too cold to enjoy it.
Hi Margareet. I had a Quick Look on the NTS website and it seems to be a train to Leven then a couple of buses or a taxi. It is a beautiful journey though and yes the castle is just perfect. Mark
I'm the same about January. December is Christmas and all that and then the New Year but with January I feel like it's just there as a filler until you can start on the other more interesting stuff.
Yes Peter. After all the highs it is expected I suppose. Someone said to me recently they always book in lots of excursions or jobs so that they are forced back into life. Maybe next year!
