Reflections on the Kirkgate Shopping Centre at the bottom of Leith Walk
This is the ‘NewKirkgate’ shopping centre which was built in the 1960’s replacing the Old Kirkgate thoroughfare through Leith, but locals still know it as simply, The Kirkgate.
The smooth paving creates some lovely reflections and the brutal 60’s architecture gives plenty of striking shapes. Perfect for a watercolour sketch.
