Water on a large canvas

Back in spring I made this large piece for a couple in Stonehaven, on the east coast of Scotland

I miss this picture. I spent a month working on this huge piece (you can see below the size of it with Mrs Sketchers legs) in spring this year and was really pleased with how the water turned out, So much water!

I’m glad that it was for a couple who live in Stonehaven, who asked me to go up and create this painting for their home. Seeing it again gives me happy memories from a couple of gorgeous sunny and inspiring trips to that part of the country. This painting captured that happy time for me by the waters edge and I hope it does something similar for the new owners.
