Edinburgh Woollen Mills are found all over the country, but this one is actually in Edinburgh. Situated close the The Bridges on the Royal Mile the shop is jam packed with items to keep you warm this winter. Brrrrrr!
A slight cheat tonight, as I sketched this from a photograph, albeit one I took earlier this year.
I’ve just spent the last half hour colouring in, it’s very therapeutic and I recommend it to everyone … Don’t go ove the lines though!
Back to work today, and on the number 14 bus up to the bridges. Traffic is busy, everyone rushing about, but not getting anywhere fast! Here’s my stop, ring the bell…
Not much happening at home this evening, I’m just watching the wife price up cots on the laptop, the fire warming our toes, while Hugh Ferny Whatshisname guts a few herring on the tv in the background…
To the far north of Arran lies Lochranza, famous for the castle pictured, and the whisky distillery close by. I could of spent a week in the company of these two! But alas back to Brodick this afternoon for the ferry back to the mainland.
Sitting in the lounge of Auchrannie Spa, on the Isle of Arran. In very comfy chairs, in front of a crackling log fire this is my view of the corner of the room! It’s so relaxing, I think I may be here all evening.
Finally made to the beautiful Isle of Arran, after missing the 12.30 ferry and spending a couple of hours in Adrossan. -f it happens to you head to Checchinis for some grub and a pint, you can also see the next ferry coming in so no chance missing it twice!
PS the sketch is from the ferry!
Wished my mum off on the train this morning after a lovely weekend. Great to catch up and we promised to visit her soon x
After the train had gone I made this sketch. Watching all the busy commuters rushing about I was very glad of my day off today.
