This sketch although drawn yesterday and coloured in today is actually from almost a month ago, when a heatwave hit the UK. The Sketcher family all headed to Gullane Beach, an award winning piece of coastline just 30 minutes East from Edinburgh.
This ink line drawing with a watercolour wash shows Mrs Sketcher and the Sketcher Twins enjoying building sandcastles and paddling in the warm water.

We enjoyed a lovely walk from Cramond today, along to Silverknowes and back with my sister, her boyfriend and his family.It’s a fantastic view out across the Forth to Fife, and along the road and rail bridges at Queensferry.
