This is one of the resident pigs at Gorgie City Farm in Edinburgh. I was there with my family on Friday, it’s a great place to take the kids. And another fun, educational and free place to go in Edinburgh. Even at the suggested donation of £2 it’s a bargain, we got to meet all the animals likely to feature on Old MacDonalds farm.
Although my two are a little young for patting the animals I’m sure they took it all in. They were particularly interested in the chickens, being of a similar height!
Thanks Eoin, I’m glad you found my picture, and liked it too! We had a great day out at the farm and will be back soon for more sketching.
Liking your happy pig drawing
Great! Amazing technical detail.
Our farmers love the accuracy. This is one of the medium sized piglets, doesn’t have a name. It is a very mixed breed – Heinz 57 we call them!
Thanks, I love your pic too, so cute!!
Love it! I wonder if it’s the same pig that I snapped a while back?http://www.photography-scotland.com/2011/02/snout/
