WhereArtI Quiz

Where have I sketched this week?

Hidden away but close to the main street.

Leave your answer as a comment below, your entry will not show up until I reveal the answer in 24 hours. I will pick a random winner from all correct entries to win an Edinburgh Castle tote bag.

Keep an eye on my facebook and twitter feeds for clues if they are needed, and remember you can also see my weekly competition in the printed version of the Edinburgh Evening News each Monday.

Keep looking up and noticing the beauty in the everyday, you never know where I will be sketching next!

My Edinburgh sketched merchandise and quality prints are available on my Etsy shop and I am available for commissions too.

Email me at contact@www.edinburghsketcher.com for more details.

Keep up to date with my sketches as I share a more personal look at what I get up to and what I have planned, with competitions, discounts and news about upcoming collaborations, live events and workshops.

  1. So interesting Thom thank you for that trip down memory lane, and the link to the Proclaimers too!

  2. WhereArtI 18th March answer: OLd Assembly Close, previously known as the Wireworks and just off the High Street by the Fringe shop. Chelsea B wins this week, and I will be back with another teaser next Monday morning.

  3. The Mackenzie Building in Old Assembly Close. Still known to some of the more old fashioned advocates as ‘the Wireworks’

  4. That’s Old Assembly Close, behind the Fringe Office on the Mile.

Before they built the Cowgate Nursery, it used to be the Wireworks Playground. During the Fringe, folk could give taster sessions of their shows. You can see what it was like in this absolute belter from the very wonderful Merry Mac Fun Show in 1986.
