I did try to post prezzies off to loved ones today, honest. But the queue at the post office just off the Royal Mile was massive, and not moving.
So I sketched the queue instead!

‘Spirit of Air’ exhibition
A visit to Edinburgh’s City Art Centre today and to Lizzie Farey’s willow exhibition, ‘Spirit of Air’.
Lizzie’s skilful manipulation of natural materials, most notably willow, produces beautiful images from rings and spheres to the stunning swallows you can see in my sketch. Head to the centre before March to see them in person.
Helter Skelter
My finished illustration of the helter skelter from Edinburgh’s Princes Street and the Winter Wonderland, now in full swing. The fair runs until Tuesday, 4th of January so you have plenty of time to visit. Check the very pretty website, Edinburgh’s Christmas for more details on what else is on offer and opeing times.
And below an extra closeup showing the detail in the drawing, something I always enjoy looking at in other artists work.
one testy
This is a test just to add a comment to my blog, without a picture.
