tweetlove

Love is in the air in my latest sketch from my imagination series.
Still hauled up in the Western Hospital and with little inspiration I am enjoying exploring my head for scenes to sketch.
I thought this would make a nice card, perhaps with a little colour added to highlight the birds and the tree.
I like the birds and am imagining them in their own wee comic strip. Hmmm

Tweeddale Court

Although still #stuckinWestern Hospital I have managed to sketch Edinburgh today, thanks to the March issue of I-ON Edinburgh.
I’ve walked past Tweeddale Court before, its just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh’s Old Town, but I don’t think I’ve sketched it. And thanks to a feature in I-ON magazine I now know a little of the history of this beautiful building, which dates back to 1576.
Take a look next time you’re on the High Street, its just opposite the Scottish Storytelling Centre, and is now home to The List offices.

Thanks to I-ON Edinburgh fir the photo.

Faces

Morning sketchfans, three faces from the magazines I’ve been reading while #stuckinWestern hospital.
I can only apologise to Harry, he was the last one and I was pretty tired.
Hopefully I’m getting out today for some family time, back in on Monday though. Fingers crossed I continue to improve and feel better. Thanks again for all the well wishes and encouragement.

WhereArtI #013

A new #WhereArtI sketch quiz this morning, have you noticed this character on the way into town recently? I spotted him on Saturday, slithering his way up the wall of a building. Tell me where he lives, if you can.

Include hashtag #wherearti with your answers either below, on facebook or twitter. Remember to keep an eye on my facebook page for clues throughout the day. Answers to come by this time tomorrow, and although for now the quiz is just for fun the first three correct answers will get a mention plus a link from my site if you make it onto the wherearti? leaderboard, here

And please remember to forward this on, the more who play the better. Good luck

Fairy cakes in the oven

My wife and I are busy making cakes for the twins first birthday tomorrow. I can’t believe it has been a year already, and what a busy year! We’ve had plenty of highs and lows and are loving every minute.

So a celebration tomorrow and while Joanne decorates the main cake these are my fairy cakes about to go in the oven.

Don’t worry those who are coming tomorrow, there are more than this!

Black pen freehand with blue colouring added on the laptop.
